As a Sub-consultant, Gedeon GRC Consulting provided preliminary design, final design, and resident engineering inspection services for the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and enhancement of several pedestrian plazas throughout New York City, including, but not limited to:

- Pershing Square Plaza/Streetscape on the East and West sides of Park Avenue, between East 41st and 42nd streets - Midtown
- Astor Place/Cooper Square at East 8th Street between Lafayette Street & 4th Avenue; Astor Place between Lafayette Street and 3rd Avenue; Lafayette Street between Astor Place & East 9th Street; 4th Avenue / Cooper Square / Bowery between East 4th & East 9th streets; and East4th Street between 2nd Avenue & Broadway - NoHo/East Village

Through various requirements contracts (HWDRCW01, HWCRQ02S, HWCRQ02L, HWCRQ03S, HWDCRQ04L, HWDRW09, HWARCKR01, and HWARCCW01) and as part of NYC’s Plaza Program, these projects have involved: reconfiguring transportation circulation to enhance safety and mobility for all modes, thus reducing pedestrian/traffic conflicts—improving economic activity and quality of life; and improvements to the plaza scheme—creating functional, vibrant, and inviting public spaces, improving the existing site, and providing areas for pedestrian use, as well as plantings and stormwater BMPs.
