Gedeon GRC Drives Design-Build Innovation for the Hudson Tunnel

At Gedeon GRC Consulting, we’re proud to be part of the Design-Build team for one of the most transformative infrastructure efforts in the region—the Manhattan Tunnel Project, a critical component of the broader Hudson Tunnel Project.

This ambitious undertaking will connect HYCC-3 to the Hudson River tunnel via twin tunnels beneath 12th Avenue, supported by a massive access shaft designed to retrieve the tunnel boring machines. It’s a feat of engineering that blends precision, scale, and speed.

Our Engineering Contributions

Gedeon GRC is providing comprehensive engineering services across several key areas:

  • Utilities, Drainage & Site Work
  • Traffic Signals, Signage & Pavement Markings
  • Roadway Pavement & Restoration
  • Maintenance & Protection of Traffic
  • Lighting & Safety Systems

Each of these elements plays a vital role in ensuring the tunnel’s construction is safe, efficient, and minimally disruptive to the surrounding urban environment.

Construction Momentum

Construction began earlier this year and is progressing rapidly. As of September 5, 2025, the site is a hive of activity, with visible progress that reflects the dedication and coordination of every team involved.

We’re excited to be part of this journey and look forward to sharing more updates as the project advances.
